West Crooked Lake Resort Park Rapids

We had an amazing week up here at the lake! The weather was beautiful. We had a great time fishing; we caught northerns, sunnies, and some big crappies. This was our 3rd year at West Crooked Lake Resort and the water was the warmest it has ever been. The hosts were great and we look forward to next year!

What a darling, perfect cabin. This is for my sweetheart of nearly 50 years & myself. It’s a perfect, peaceful getaway, hearing the loons as I fell asleep each night. Our family and friends were here for a reunion. Everyone had a wonderful time. We will be back next year. The managers, Kay and David, make this a wonderful place to be. The cabins are welcoming and bright. Fisher people in our group were very happy with the fishing. This has been a great week together with family and friends. The little ones will miss the beach and all the fun toys. We enjoyed hearing the loons. Thanks for all the TLC.

So many extra touches that I’ve never seen at any other resort, such as the gift basket and clean towels in the middle of the week. All the great toys and chairs for the children. I most especially loved being serenaded by the loons, my favorite bird.

West Crooked Lake Resort is a small corner of Paradise. The website does not reveal the true beauty of the Resort. All the cabins are decorated so warm and homey. Cabin #4 is the best with the high deck and awesome view. Swimming and the pontoon boat were a hit with us. We did a lot of site-seeing in the area. Dorset House was our favorite eatery and the ice cream was to die for. We took part in the Blue Grass Festival at Pine River and that was the highlight of our trip. Kay and Dave are super hosts and made our stay most enjoyable. Our first vacation away in nine years and we could not have chosen a better place to enjoy it. Thanks so much. We hope to return again someday as life permits.

Even though we saw pictures on the website, we really couldn’t believed West Crooked Lake Resort was this wonderful. The view of the lake from Cabin 4 was breathtaking, especially in the evening with the moon reflecting off the water. The sounds of the loons and eagles flying around sure added to the appreciation we had for this place. The cabins were perfect and had everything we needed. They were decorated so cute and we were very comfortable. Kay and Dave were great and our family, having rented 5 of 6 cabins, plan on making this a yearly event. Couldn’t ask for anything better.

This was our first time at West Crooked Lake Resort, and we really enjoyed our time here. David & Kay greeted us as we got out of the car, introduced us to the owners, then we were sent off to “our cabin” with a nice welcome basket (nice touch). The cabin was perfect for us. Our family/group lived in cabins 2, 3, 4 & 5! We really enjoyed the pontoon ride on Sunday night. The kids really made use of the Rave. They also spent a lot of the week at the island. Lots of fishing, tubing, reading, game playing, laying in the sun, and visiting. Our kids really enjoyed playing with Nathan and Tomiko. Our newborn, Violet (3 weeks) kept us busy in the cabin much of the time and as the manager, David pointed out, she has spent a third of her life “at the lake.” We’re looking forward to next year and can’t wait to come back.

We had a wonderful time! Not sure we could ask for much more. This cabin is so cozy! Our kids loved it! The lake was also great. A lot of Sun Fish – kids caught 150 in 2 hours. This place is truly paradise. This was our first year and we rebooked for next year.
